Nick with kid
While digging around the camera, came on these two from last month when we were visiting Carol and Bruce. Pam had brought Dylan over and it was the first time Nick had seen him.

...and they lived happily ever after.

I’m headed to NY at the end of July to try on the wedding dress and also because it’s my mom’s 54th birthday. I decided to knit her this mohair/wool scarf. I started in beginning of June and finished a few days ago. I think she’ll like it. It’s super soft and has some stretch to it.
She has to wear a lot of black for her job and I figured the bright red of the wool will go nicely against black. It’s a bit narrower than the one that I’d made for Nick and it’ll work nice to wrap around like this or just once.

So to get over my funk and general stomach turning over the weekend (stuipd, meddling aunt), I decided to pull images off the camera and see what was on there.
A few months back, we’d taken Blaze for a ride up to the mountains and I took my knitting with me. Here are some pictures of a scarf that I knitted for Nick. It was my first attempt and the damned thing took forever!

Knit one…purl none, didn’t know how to purl at this point.

Knitting with mountains in behind, long needles and a bumpy Jeep.

About a foot in, taken on the dashboard of the Jeep. The edges are a bit bumpy.

The finished product, it’s a bit wider than I would have liked. Nick was nice enough to say it was the best scarf anyone’s ever knitted him. I’ve been the only one that’s ever knitted him a scarf by the way.
I go to The Daily Puppy pretty much every day and so should you; I’m horribly addicted. Mainly during the times when my boss is in a mood and I just need something to look at.
