I’m registering a new domain name this weekend and will be building the site out when I get back from Tempe. So excited! I will be moving all the old posts over and creating something that is not fouled by ignorant people. I’m even buying my mom a computer so she can see what I’m up to.
Email me if you want the address.

1. Got the job and the pay increase (woot!)
2. Leaving for Tempe for a week Sunday for work and then a week of training (not woot)
3. Had the conversation with a family member long over due (told them I’m calling a truce and to control her wackadoodle sister – family drama over)
4. Was planning on visiting Maggie in NY for her birthday in two weeks and due to #2 that’s canceled (sad not woot)
5. Bought a snot load of stuff at the Calphalon outlet store (one of which I cannot *wait* to try)
6. After #3, Nick came home early, listened to me rant and rave and we took the dog to watch the sunset over Puget Sound (very woot)
7. I love my husband so much and will miss him terribly next week.

I believe that this is the fourth year (out of six) since we’ve been here that we went to the Tulip Festival. Every year it seems to be getting more and more crowded. We had to wait about 45 minutes to exit the ramp on the freeway.
Be warned, there’s a snot load of pictures coming:

A rainbow to end the day.

I was talking to my friend Carol about why I couldn’t join her for a Zumba class yet again; it was the 4th week in a row she was asking. I told her that I couldn’t because that night I had the interview for my job (basically, I had to interview for my job in a different location and about a $15,000 pay increase). But I told her that the Big Bank was hiring if she knew anyone.
Something about saying that made me launch into a tirade about sending the job link to another friend and her not wanting to apply but instead chose to whine about how she couldn’t find a job for a year. Carol laughed and asked me why do I keep wanting to help a lost cause. I paused and thought about it … I do kinda do that, don’t I. I always try to “help” whether it is asked for or not.
I told her that it’s part of my psychosis and just left it at that.
Then like most other things in life, I started to obsess about it and realized that in order for my life to be better, I had to stop keep inserting myself in other people’s lives. I had a whole plan and all.
And then, while wasting time yesterday afternoon with my second carpool buddy, she was talking about her son’s birthday and how they are low on money and can’t do a big thing for it … and immediately (mind you I don’t know this girl very well) I started thinking of toys to get the kid. Why do I do this… it’s kinda creepy. Granted she wasn’t a lost cause per se … it was just a demonstration on how absolutely fucking gullible I am.
My point is … that yes, I am now going to focus solely on my life and stop interfering in other people’s lives.
Anyway, I’ve been pretty much brain dead every day I got home this week and just DRAINED. I’ll probably schedule some posts to appear throughout this week because there’s been a lot on my mind. Also I have to find some time to plan our August trip to … EUROPE! So excited. I think it’s going to be Europe again, my bestest friend in the whole world and her boyfriend will be joining us. *Squeal*!

A few posts ago, I was lamenting on how I’ve ran out of blogs to read. In it’s place has come YouTube. It’s my new addiction. Once or twice a week when I come home and while dinner is on the stove, I check my subscriptions. The one that I’m digging right now is Lisa Nova. Lisa’s one of the more popular YouTubers and right now she’s doing a SQUEEGGEEGLOSS22/Molly series that’s 23 or 24 episodes in, at the start it’s funny as hell and then it gets sad.
Then there’s Buck, Kassem, Justine, and for some inane reason Michelle Phan. Who does makeup tutorials… and I don’t wear makeup. But I’m addicted yo.
And then there’s Megan … whose voice… is incredible.
If I liked my voice more, I would consider uploading videos, but that’s never going to happen.
