IrenicEmbers

...and they lived happily ever after.

Catching up

1. Got the job and the pay increase (woot!)

2. Leaving for Tempe for a week Sunday for work and then a week of training (not woot)

3. Had the conversation with a family member long over due (told them I’m calling a truce and to control her wackadoodle sister – family drama over)

4. Was planning on visiting Maggie in NY for her birthday in two weeks and due to #2 that’s canceled (sad not woot)

5. Bought a snot load of stuff at the Calphalon outlet store (one of which I cannot *wait* to try)

6. After #3, Nick came home early, listened to me rant and rave and we took the dog to watch the sunset over Puget Sound (very woot)

7. I love my husband so much and will miss him terribly next week.

Enough of being self-indulgent

Meanwhile back at the ranch, I’ve been thinking of how to properly dissuade my nutso aunt from visiting this site. I could just label a lewd picture with her name so that anytime anyone searches for her name, it will hit on said picture.

Yeah, sorry I’m an angry bitch.

I was going through some pictures, looking for one in particular that I’d scanned some months back and couldn’t find it. Instead I found these that I took last weekend when Nick was walking the dog. He called me from across the street and wanted me to test out the longer lens on the camera.

This is through the teeny tiny balcony on the front side of the building.

All down the street the trees are in bloom, it really is so pretty.

I really should do something about that dog’s constant desire to kill people … lil fucker’s ALWAYS on alert.

Muddy Buddy

Bathing Blaze has been a trial of epic proportions. Normally, Nick takes care of this and I do the cleanup. But with his back all out of sorts and Blaze reeking, we decided to look into this dog bathing self-service place that opened up down the street. The first time we took him, it was a minor fiasco and I don’t think the owner of the place really intended that a rabid runtweiler would ever come in to his lovely establishment. That poor man.

About two weeks later, in we go again:

Thankfully we were seasoned by that time and there was probably less to clean up.

A week behind

Since I’m a week behind in our activities, I just decided to lump 26 pictures here. Yeah, go me. Anyway, I’ve been posting more here and that’s only because I’ve kinda grown fed-up with Facebook. It’s so temporal and everything disappears so fast. With my memory slowly turning to shit, it’s just easier to look back here and say, “well on Feb 2nd 2010, here’s what we did.”

Anyway I’m blogless or blog-viewing-less. I stopped reading some blogs that were bad for my health (pioneer woman, seriously what a joke) and need to fill the time with some others. There’s always youtube, but the channel’s that I like viewing have really lazy posters. So I have to wait a whole week or two to get new content.

So if there are any blogs that you (all three of you) wanna share, lemme know.

In the meantime, here’s Blaze and I at Deception Pass last weekend for his birthday:

Yes I know some of them are processed to hell but it’s how I like it.

Why my father’s family are idiots.

So, there’s a lot going on right now. More than I think to expect in 2010. Nick needs minor surgery, our site at work is being dismantled and turned into something else (closest analogy: we were pastry chefs and now they are turning us into auto mechanics) and I am looking for another job.

The Nick thing I will talk about once it’s all done.

The work thing, there’s nothing really to talk about. Only that the big bank I work for took a successful and profitable part of their profit margin and instead is turning into another sector. The end result should be the same: help keep people in their homes. While I’m all for helping and being a team player, I can’t say that I’m welcoming this. Because professionally, it’s a step backwards. Which is even ludicrous to begin with as this is not my profession. It’s something that I’ve been doing to pay the bills to be able to afford going back to school. But, it’s what I’ve been doing for six years so … bah! Anyway, that’s that.

And, with all of this going on Saturday was Blaze’s birthday. The little fucker turned 8. The vet(s) said that he wasn’t going to live pass seven, so go lil fucker! Saturday we took him out for a little but Sunday was when we’d planned to do something with him all day. Sunday rolls around and as per the usual, I checked Facebook and came upon this picture.

I have to explain what’s going on here. The man to the far left’s the sperm donor that created me, the kid, I don’t know and the girl to the right is my father’s cousin’s kid. It apparently was her birthday but she always dresses like a whore, so really it doesn’t matter. I saw this picture and the comment below it and I freaked out internally. Blaze was barking to go, Nick was calling me to go and I’m like “wtf”. First, sperm donor was giving a “speech” and from his clothes and general disarray, I could tell he was completely soused. Fucker didn’t even give a speech at my WEDDING. But here he is giving a speech at whore’s birthday. I think it was her 17th or something. Anyway, it was the comment that really set me off. Another one of his cousin’s kid is commenter #2 and by her reference of “that man”, I was like … oh no dumb bitch.

A. he’s not “that man”

B. you’re a stupid, uneducated cunt

So I put my own comment to tell her to respect her elders and that he’s not just “that man” and to remove the picture. They haven’t. The thing that gets me about this, aside from all of the above, is that commenter #2 and girl with birthday’s grandmother is and has always gone on and on about how bad me and my sister was. How we disrespected the family and were evil little shits.

But I have to say, I never dressed like a whore and I always respected people (even though I thought them ignorant and dumb). And my sister may have done a few things that were not on the right path but we always had respect for people.

Whew.

Ok, enough of that shit. In the meantime, my life has been a series of YouTube videos and about 1500 Freecell games. I don’t have the mental energy for anything else and can only think of plotting my next move.
